Review: Arrow (S1E09)
“Year’s End”

I kept saying ‘dead’ in a rather morose tone every time I saw the step-dad in this episode and I was pretty much right.

Again, the secondary characters are the most interesting in this soapy drama. Dresden was rocking, proving once again that Dresden Files never should have been cancelled. The IT girl has obviously figured it all out and just playing it cool.

Again, I couldn’t give a crap about the main characters and their emo ‘i have to say what i’m feeling out loud and in dramatic pose so everyone knows what I’m feeling’ moments.

Okay, so I honestly didn’t see it coming that Captain Jack was the fake-Archer but in hindsight I think that was because I was too busy saying ‘dead’ and laughing at the horrible dialogue. Seriously… the dialogue makes me wince every time they do what I’m going to call a mock-soliloquy. It’s when a character speaks what they are thinking as if they are doing a soliloquy but actually just conversing with another character or talking to themselves.

There is a reason why soliloquy’s are no longer used!
