Thanks to CinemaBlend and several outlets, we now have the matching Iron Man 3 to the Thor: Dark World synopsis.
Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
Again, doesn’t tell us too terribly much, and that’s a good thing, we don’t want spoilers ruining things. While it’s not as generic as the Thor synopsis, it’s still the tag line typical in most comics. Then even use the word Quest! But then this is a comic book movie so all’s good.
What I’m worried about is the ending line here about does the man make the suit, etc. We had that whole discussion that was underplayed (except when it wasn’t) in Avengers, and underplayed is exactly how it needs to be played. Iron Man 2 got a bit heavy handed in places and that did not work out well for it at all.
